Terms of Use
By installing or using Rosteno: Shift, Hours & Pay, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not install or use the app.
1. Purpose of the Application
Rosteno is an independent, worker-owned Android app designed to help Australian workers record rosters, track actual work hours and confirmed breaks, store payslip details, and check expected earnings against supported Modern Award rules.
2. Informational Use Only
Rosteno provides mathematical calculations based on the information you enter and the rules published in supported Modern Award pay guides. Rosteno does not provide legal, industrial, tax, or financial advice.
Calculations, comparisons, and discrepancy reports are informational guides to assist you in personal record-keeping. They do not constitute formal legal determinations of pay entitlements, underpayment, or employment compliance.
For formal industrial advice, wage recovery, or dispute resolution, consult the Fair Work Ombudsman, your trade union, or a qualified legal practitioner.
3. Your Responsibilities
You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the shift times, break confirmations, pay rates, and payslips you enter into Rosteno.
Because Rosteno stores records on your personal device without a cloud backup, you are responsible for maintaining your own records. You can export selected records and Evidence Review Packs at any time.
4. Supported Rules and Conditions
Rosteno calculates expected pay only for supported conditions. In this release, deterministic calculations apply to worker-confirmed conditions under the General Retail Industry Award 2020. Other workers can still record shifts, breaks, and payslip data. Where rules are unsupported or required information is missing, expected pay will display as Not calculated.
5. Australian Consumer Law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in Western Australia and the Commonwealth of Australia. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, including rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, Rigour Consulting provides Rosteno on an as-is basis and is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost wages, or data loss resulting from device malfunction or app use.
